2026 SASF Crab Feed: A Night of Community, Generosity, and Great Food

On Saturday, February 28, 2026, the SASF community came together once again for our 32nd annual Crab Feed, one of our most beloved and anticipated events of the year. Friends, families, supporters, and volunteers filled the room for an evening of crab, laughter, and spirited fundraising—all in support of SASF’s youth and community programs.

With over 800 guests in attendance, the evening was filled with energy, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to supporting opportunities for youth in our community. Events like the Crab Feed are always special, not only because of the incredible food and exciting raffle prizes, but because they bring people together in such a positive and meaningful way.

This year's event would not have been possible without the incredible generosity of our sponsors and donors. Sponsorships help support the operation of the event and allow us to continue expanding the impact of our programs. Special appreciation to Sutter Health for their generous $15,000 VIP sponsorship and Phoong Law for their live auction donations that helped elevate the impact of the evening. We are also grateful to our Silver Sponsor, NovoMed Concierge Medicine ($2,500), and our Community Sponsors, Sacramento District Attorney Thien Ho and Golden 1 Home Loans ($1,000) for their continued support. Thank you as well to our T-Shirt Sponsors, Yee Law and Portfolio Real Estate, and our Bar Sponsors, Walsh Station Automotive Service and NWP, for helping create a fun and memorable night for everyone.

The raffle prizes and live auction items were once again a huge part of the evening, generating excitement throughout the room and helping raise additional funds for SASF programs. We are incredibly thankful to the many businesses and individuals who donated items, experiences, and gift certificates to help make the raffle such a success.

A special thank you goes to Samantha Tov, whose efforts were instrumental in organizing the event. From managing ticket sales and distribution to coordinating seating arrangements, overseeing the live auction and raffle, and handling countless other details, her planning and organization helped bring the entire event together. And of course, a tremendous thank you goes to Don Lee and his kitchen crew, who once again took care of all of the cooking. Preparing and serving food for over 800 guests is no small task, yet Don and the kitchen team made it look easy. As always, the food received countless compliments throughout the night.

This night would not have been possible without the many event staff, servers, and volunteers who donated their time and energy throughout the evening—whether helping with setup, serving guests, managing logistics, or keeping things running behind the scenes. Their willingness to give up their Saturday evening (and many hours leading up to the event) speaks volumes about the strength and generosity of our community.

THANK YOU to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and supported the event. It is always inspiring to see so many positive interactions among our supporters, and the impact of that support extends far beyond a single evening.

Because of your generosity, the 2026 SASF Crab Feed was not only a wonderful night of community celebration, but also a meaningful investment in the youth and families we serve.

Save the Date! Big Day of Giving is on May 7, 2026

We are excited to announce that SASF will participate in the annual Big Day of Giving on May 7, 2026, and we hope you will join us in supporting our mission.

As most of you know, Big Day of Giving is a special 24-hour giving event that brings our community together to support local nonprofits and the important work they do. Each year, this day provides an opportunity for supporters like you to make a meaningful impact and help organizations like ours continue to serve our youth and families.

Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to provide opportunities for young people to grow, learn, and connect through our programs. Your support means a lot to us because it helps us create positive experiences, build confidence, and strengthen our community.

This year, we are once again asking our community to come together and help us make an even greater impact. Every donation—no matter the size—makes a difference. In addition to direct support, donations on Big Day of Giving can also help us qualify for bonus funds and matching opportunities that increase the impact of your gift.

In the coming weeks, we will be sharing more information about how you can participate, including the link to our giving page, ways to spread the word, and opportunities to help us reach our fundraising goal.

Thank you for being part of our community and for helping us continue this important work. We are grateful for your support and look forward to celebrating another successful Big Day of Giving together.

Thank You for Your Generous Support

We are extremely grateful to the many individuals, families and businesses who continue to support and donate to SASF throughout the year.

Consider Donating Through Chris Wong's PG&E Community Connect Giving Fund

Growing up with SASF, Chris is giving back through PG&E's match program which matches donations dollar for dollar, up to $5,000. Chris is SASF's sponsor for PG&E’s Peer to Peer Fundraising Community. As a PG&E employee, he invites you to donate to a cause that he cares about. PG&E employees select the nonprofits that they support through Peer-to-Peer Fundraising and PG&E matches contributions to eligible organizations.

"I grew up in this program, first in summer basketball league and giving back as a basketball coach and referee. This organization does so much for the communities of Sacramento and Elk Grove. Their dedication to youth development through sports and leadership programs include teen women empowerment, a talent show completely organized by youth, and basketball, ages 7-18. They have added new programs to address teen mental health, and sports programs and a fishing derby for special needs youth. Pickleball for Seniors continues to grow by leaps and bounds. An anticipated program with SMUD includes classes on the use of modern and efficient kitchen equipment."

"Join me and my friends who participated in SASF programs and are now giving back in different ways. Donate via the PG&E YourCause website using the Guest option."
