Meet the SASF Team

Evan Kanenaga
Facility Manager

Evan Kanenaga is currently the Facility Manager and has served the SASF community since December 2011. He is responsible for developing a foundation for consistent growth and operational viability. His organizational philosophy and direction is in part a result from his experience and accomplishments as a Sacramento Police Officer.

Evan stated his biggest challenges at SASF comes from balancing past traditions with future goals and ongoing social changes. But he realizes the importance of the task as it will contribute and strengthen SASF’s long-standing history and community involvement. Evan stated he has always appreciated the dedication and hard work of all the volunteers and Board Members that help to make SASF successful in its endeavors.

Evan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and retired from law enforcement on June 1, 2013 after 30-years of service. Evan was professionally recognized for his impressive accomplishments with the Sacramento Police Department. In his spare time, Evan enjoys golfing, softball, working in his yard and family trips to Disneyland.
