We are excited to introduce the current team at SASF. We thank them for their hard work each and every day to keep SASF running strong. Thank you to Jevon, Ryan, Brad, Zach, Matt, Lucas, Evan, Brandon, and Julie! We sincerely appreciate all you do for SASF! Here is a little more about them, say "hi" if you see them around!
Jevon: I am a current full-time student at California State University, Sacramento, and I am now in my third year, having transferred from Cosumnes River College with an Associate of Arts degree in Kinesiology. I look to obtain my Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Athletic Care, and afterward, I will apply for the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program to become a licensed Physical Therapist. What I love most about working at the Sacramento Asian Sports Foundation is the fantastic group of people I get to work with.
Ryan: My name is Ryan, and I work in graphic design at SASF. What I enjoy most about being part of SASF is the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces while also making new connections within the community. I'm grateful to contribute my skills in a way that supports our mission and strengthens connections within our community.
Brad: I graduated from CSUS with a degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration (RPTA), focusing on Recreation Therapy. What I appreciate most about working at SASF is the people, both the team and the community. It’s a welcoming environment where everyone supports each other, and that makes even the busiest days feel worthwhile.
Zach: I am currently in my second year of college, majoring in mechanical engineering. This job has provided numerous opportunities for me to learn and develop my skills in creative thinking and problem-solving, which will undoubtedly benefit my future career.
Matt: I'm a third-year Cybersecurity student at Cosumnes River College. I appreciate the flexibility at SASF, which allows me to balance my schoolwork and SASD responsibilities effectively.
Lucas: I am currently studying and working towards becoming a firefighter. I love working at SASF because I have grown up attending events and playing basketball here since elementary school. The people in the SASF community that I see every day are my favorite part about working here.
Evan: I am a retired law enforcement officer, and have supported SASF's programs for many years, helping me become well-versed in the facility's operations. I started the SASF Pickleball Club and it has brought me great joy to be a part of this flourishing program and many others at SASF that have served many people in the greater Sacramento and Elk Grove communities. I enjoy helping the rest of the team when I can!
Brandon: Hello, my name is Brandon, and I am currently a third-year college student majoring in nursing. One thing I appreciate about working at SASF is the opportunity to see the diverse range of events held at the facility. I also appreciate the community because its members are very caring and nice.
Julie: I am a retired juvenile probation officer and Dancefit instructor. I serve as the SASF Events Manager. Throughout my time at SASF, I have fostered connections among staff, renters, and board members, and I am dedicated to making SASF a successful nonprofit organization.

"I grew up in this program, first in summer basketball league and giving back as a basketball coach and referee. This organization does so much for the communities of Sacramento and Elk Grove. Their dedication to youth development through sports and leadership programs include teen women empowerment, a talent show completely organized by youth, and basketball, ages 7-18. They have added new programs to address teen mental health, and sports programs and a fishing derby for special needs youth. Pickleball for Seniors continues to grow by leaps and bounds. An anticipated program with SMUD includes classes on the use of modern and efficient kitchen equipment."
