SASF would like to give a very warm welcome to Samantha Tov, SASF’s newest Board Member!

Samantha Tov is a top-producing REALTOR® and co-founder of Portfolio Real Estate, where she leads a team dedicated to helping families build wealth and legacy through homeownership. With over 19 years of experience, she has grown from a young entrepreneur—launching her first business at 18—to a respected community leader recognized for her mentorship and service. The daughter of Cambodian refugees, Samantha’s story is rooted in resilience, family, and giving back. She has served as President of the Sacramento Association of REALTORS®, past president of the Asian Real Estate Association of America Greater Sacramento, and past president of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Placer County. She also serves on the national board of directors for the AREAA Foundation, raising funds and support for communities in need across the country.

Samantha is honored to serve on the SASF Board, an organization that is especially close to her heart. Both of her daughters have participated in SASF's summer leagues and tournaments, and she has seen firsthand how it serves as a "second home" for so many young athletes and families in the community. For her, giving back to SASF is deeply rewarding, ensuring that its programs and facilities continue to thrive for years to come.

Thank You For a Successful Basic Hoops 2025!

SASF hosted its annual Basic Hoops youth basketball clinic earlier this summer. Thank you for your overwhelming support—we had over 60 youth hoopers this year! A big appreciation goes out to all the staff and volunteers who made this event happen. Thank you to all who participated!

Basic Hoops started with the goal of introducing basketball in a fun and supportive environment. With the help of SASF, the camp continues to deliver on this goal 20 years later. The campers, ranging from kindergarten to third grade, are taught the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and engaging way. During the week-long course, campers learn how to dribble, pass, shoot, and play defense.

"I grew up in this program, first in summer basketball league and giving back as a basketball coach and referee. This organization does so much for the communities of Sacramento and Elk Grove. Their dedication to youth development through sports and leadership programs include teen women empowerment, a talent show completely organized by youth, and basketball, ages 7-18. They have added new programs to address teen mental health, and sports programs and a fishing derby for special needs youth. Pickleball for Seniors continues to grow by leaps and bounds. An anticipated program with SMUD includes classes on the use of modern and efficient kitchen equipment."

"Join me and my friends who participated in SASF programs and are now giving back in different ways. Donate via the PG&E YourCause website using the Guest option."
