Today's young people live in a much more challenging economic environment than what their parents experienced growing up. The Financial Literacy Boot Camp will introduce you to the Five Core Competencies of Financial Literacy, giving you valuable skills and knowledge to make it on your own someday. We’ll also explain the real-world factors that affect your economic security. This includes your choice of career, economic trends, and random things that happen in life. Each week we will play a fun and competitive financial simulation game. Your group leaders and guest speakers will mentor you for four weeks in a safe and social environment. We highly encourage you to bring a parent to the boot camp at no extra charge. Learning together will be a great experience!

The meetings will take place at The Winn Center, Cosumnes River College, 8401 Center Pkwy, Sacramento, CA 95823.

Your Boot Camp leaders are Ted Fong, MBA (Program Director, SASF), and Yousaf Zamanudin (Merrill Lynch). Guest speakers include Jeffrey Won (Morgan Stanley) and Mark Otani, CPA. Attendance is limited to 15 participants and one parent or guardian each.

The boot camp leaders and speakers are long-time supporters of SASF. They will provide education and not offer any investment advice or engage in any sales or marketing activities on behalf of the companies they work for.
